The Maty's Way and why it matters.

Focusing on our families. Listening to our bodies. Lifting other moms and dads up. Impacting the world. And being intentional about making sure that every Maty’s product contains only what matters. Because that, fellow parents, matters a lot.

Intentionally crafted.

We believe simple can be powerful. We know that real, whole food ingredients found in Mother Nature can create effective remedies for those we love. It all started with a mom on a mission.

What surprised you the most about parenthood?

The amount of love you could feel for another human being. To this day, it still amazes me that you live for their happiness. When my kids are happy, I’m happy.

Most important thing you’d go back and tell yourself as a young parent?

Don’t sweat the small stuff. Keep a great outlook and things will always work out.

What keeps you inspired?

The world is a fascinating place. I love to study the energy of our universe and how it relates to healing. I also find it so interesting the “coincidences” that happen to us all on a daily basis. It is as if we are all connected and are part of a bigger plan.

Your #1 piece of advice for entrepreneurs?

Get a vision of where you want to go and keep that in the front of your mind at all times. There will be bumps in the road that may cause you to question what you are doing. But if you keep the endgame in sight, you will get there. Be ready for a wild ride, with its ups and downs, but it is definitely worth taking!

Is there a particular person who you are grateful toward who helped get you to where you are?

My husband, Bob, had the big vision for Maty’s – he has the ‘go big or go home’ mentality that really pushed me to see what this brand could really do. He was a manufacturer’s rep, so he knew that we had to focus on retail if we wanted to see success with the brand. I was happy with slow but steady growth, but Bob wasn’t having any of that.

What do you do that makes your kids roll their eyes?

I am a bit of a rebel and will buck authority at times.

Can you share your top three “lifestyle tweaks” that you believe support a journey towards better well-being?

  • Take time and touch base with yourself. I do it every morning for at least a half hour. By practicing mindfulness and connecting with myself, it puts me in a happier place for the rest of the day. It helps me stay grounded, centered and positive.
  • Be true to yourself and get rid of inner conflict. When you don’t live true to yourself, it can have a negative effect on your health. It may not show right away, but a physical effect can result a few days, weeks or even years later in life.
  • Listen to your body. When you’re taking the time to touch base with yourself, your body will talk to you. If you learn to listen to it, you can get a lot out of it. I’ve learned to do something right from the start, instead of letting the condition continue. If you start to readjust, that will help the ailment from continuing.
